This type of caster socket is used when a strong socket is needed.  Our stamped metal caster socket accepts a standard 7/16″ diameter friction ring caster stem. The steel platform rests on the bottom of the tubing and keeps the socket from ” shearing” into the tube. Strong spring steel clips provide excellent pullout resistance. These metal caster inserts are made in the USA from quality materials and will last for decades.
